My Work
When Flames Dance
An experiment in real-life motion graphics. When Flames Dance is a series of digital photo manipulations and colour experiments based on a video of rising smoke.
The entire project was based on a single experiment: using a magnifying glass to turn the sun into an effective laser and burning scrap paper with that light. The resulting video was then cropped and colour corrected.
Combining animation and the colour corrected video, I created a composition whose sole purpose was to display beauty in the world.
Stills from this video were then used to create a series of abstract digital pieces, all with an ephemera digital production sometimes lacks.
